The author of this chapter coined the term judgementoring (Hobson, 2016; Hobson& Malderez, 2013), which is a process in which a mentor has an evaluative role overthe mentee and/or overly directive approach to mentoring that harms the mentor/mentee relationship. In an effort to diminish unhealthy mentor/mentee relationships caused by judgementoring, the author devised the ONSIDE Mentoring framework, implemented it in schools, collected data, and analyzed the data, which demonstrated benefits for mentor, mentee, and students alike.
