Scholarly biography
Lisa is a full time Research Officer in the School of Health Sciences and she has developed Qualitative experitise during her time at the University of Brighton. Lisa has worked on a number of small and large scale research projects in collaboration with various local community, voluntary organisations, and NHS trusts. Lisa is currently working on the Great Foundations research project. This study seeks to deliver research innovations related to children’s foot health through investigating multi professional knowledge and practices, as well as parental knowledge, beliefs and behaviours related to children’s foot health. A five-year collaborative research programme between the University of Brighton and University of Salford, funded by the William Scholl Endowment Fund.
Research interests
Lisa has an interest in exploring the ways in which health information is communicated in the growth of the information and technology age. Lisa also has a keen interest in understanding individuals’ health information seeking behaviours, impacts on aderhence, self-monitoring and self-care and how it influences decision making and health outcomes.
