Research interests
Angelica Pizzo is a Ph.D. research student at the University of Brighton with a bachelor’s degree in History of Art and a master’s degree in International Tourism & Hospitality Management. Angelica’s research interests are in tourism, with a particular emphasis on slow tourism, its concepts and theories, and its possible application as a sustainable tourism development strategy for underdeveloped regions. Research interests also include sustainability & sustainable development, community-based tourism, post-Covid-19 tourism recovery opportunities & destination management & planning.
Angelica is very much interested in the region of Extremadura, Spain which presents itself as a unique and remote place to be discovered and researched upon.
Angelica is also interested in art history, cultural tourism & rural tourism.
