Andrew is interested in how spatial planning can help to deliver climate change adaptation and mitigation, manage coastal change and flooding, encourage integrated water management and regulate short term rentals such as AirBnB.

Approach to teaching

Andrew is interested in supervising Masters students in the role of planning in climate change adaptation and mitigation, coastal issues, flood risk management, green infrastructure and health.

Andrew's approach to teaching is to encourage students to learn from each other and to involve practitioners  as well as formal lectures. His learning sessions usually involve group working.
